I'm very proud, honored and most of all, humbled to be part of a group of Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors and practitioners with whom an ancient knowledge was just shared ( foot soaks ).
There is a monastery high up in a Tibetan region, in one of the most pristine environments on earth where medicinal plants and herbs are being grown and prepared according to Buddhist beliefs and rituals.
The only fact that the location is one of the purest that remains on the planet, added to the unique art that Buddhist monks put into planting, growing and harvesting these plants give them a very special potency.
8 plants have been gathered, according to Mother Earth's rhythms, that have been specifically blended, blessed by Buddhist monks and packaged in what looks like tea bags. These tea bags are then used to do what we call Tibetan Foot Soaks, a health ritual rooted in the Tibetan, Chinese and Ayurvedic Traditions and dating back thousands of years.
With some colleagues from all over the World, a collective was created and we were granted access to this outstanding healing modality. Supply and access is limited and we feel blessed to have sourced these herbs that are so rare and pure for our patients.
What do the Foot Soaks do?
I feel the real question should be, what don't they do?
In the Tibetan and Ayurvedic Traditions, they help keep the body in a homeostatic state or, bring it back to an homeostatic state. This means that it re-balances the body.
To make it short, Tibetan Foot Soaks are good for:
Well, obvious first reason: they feel fan-tas-tic.
They promote and stabilize circulation, making them great for those with poor or bad blood or lymph circulation.
They help regulate the nervous system. Think stress, insomnia, anxiety, etc.
They promote better immune system.
They help in relieving both systemic chronic pain & localised acute pain.
They help in chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia.
They work wonders for women with gynaecological disorders.
They promote healthier gut and better digestion: whether it is constipation, diarrhoea, or IBS.
They help enhance your metabolism, therefore have a detoxifying effect.
And so much more…
